MARINA DI ALBUFEIRA

Opera supplied hi-tech materials for a major project for a tourist resort in the Algarve, the splendid region of southern Portugal renowned for its more than 170 km of golden beaches.




The project, called "Marina di Albufeira", was created by the Technical University of Lisbon under the supervision of architects Siconio Pardal and Tomas Taveira and compromises a large complex with three hotels, three tourist villages, over 30,000 sq.m of shops and a quay with more than 400 berths.


 

 

The materials supplied by Opera include Scudo and Aquaria Sub waterproofing products for tile installation in the swimming pools and S9 Ultrawhite admixed with Isoflex for installation of vitreous mosaic in the central pool. SPM Universal adhesive was used for installing marble and stone, while Ecotech adhesive was used for installing the parquet
